About Scottsdale Artists' School

For over 40 years, Scottsdale Artists’ School has been a prominent influence in the community teaching the fundamentals of fine art to artists and aspiring artists of all ages and skill levels. Taught by the nation’s leading artists, the school offers diverse programming and scholarships to a wide range of students who might not be able to receive this education without assistance. Proceeds from Beaux Arts are vital to supporting these programs.

THE SCHOOL

Located in a charming historic schoolhouse, Scottsdale Artists’ School is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit founded by a group of dedicated artists and community art advocates. Scottsdale Artists’ School is recognized nationally and internationally as a leader in fine art education for all skill levels from absolute beginner to professional. Scottsdale Artists’ School engages the community through our extensive outreach efforts.

MISSION

Scottsdale Artists’ School is dedicated to the artistic enrichment of the community and to developing artists and aspiring artists of all ages by teaching the applied fundamentals of fine art.

WE TEACH

Scottsdale Artists’ School offers over 250 adult workshops and classes taught by award winning artists from across the country. Our Youth & Teen Academy is Arizona’s Premier fine art school for ages 6 to 18.

WE CREATE

Our vision is that quality art education be available to everyone regardless of background, age or ability. We recognize the power and the importance of the visual arts and offer the opportunity for all to attend through our youth and adult scholarships awarding over $75,000 annually based on need and/or merit.

WE INSPIRE

We engage the community with fine arts programming for schools, camp events and festivals. SAS partners with local charitable organizations and businesses to offer hands-on workshops, art demonstrations, lectures and art shows.
