At ICAN, we provide access to out-of-school time opportunities that empower all youth and their families to pursue what is most meaningful to them.
Founded by Chandler native Henry Salinas, ICAN has been operating in the East Valley since 1991. Henry’s initial investment of time and compassion for under-served teens has blossomed into a full-service youth center. ICAN’s out-of-school-time program is more than just childcare; we aim to close the gap in access to out-of-school programming by ensuring every child and their family receives high-quality care during out-of-school hours. ICAN’s holistic out-of-school time program model, which operates out of five sites, ensures that youth thrive academically, socially, and creatively through four key ares: academic support, positive youth development, enrichment and future readiness, and community and family support. We provide these programs free of charge in order for parents and caregivers to maintain employment and advance their economic opportunities.
