Hospice of the Valley

Founded in 1977, Hospice of the Valley is Arizona’s leading provider of palliative and hospice care for adults and children, serving Maricopa and northern Pinal counties, as well as the Tucson area. We provide comprehensive programs tailored for every stage of illness, including primary care for home-limited patients, specialized care for chronic illness, extensive dementia care and education, and compassionate hospice services.

As the only nonprofit hospice in Maricopa County, we are committed to serving all in need — turning no one away due to financial circumstances. This past year, we cared for 28,000 patients and their families and provided nearly $18 million in charity care and community services.

Through our Supportive Care for Dementia program and Dementia Care and Education Campus, we help families learn to “live well with dementia” as they navigate all stages and types of the condition. Located in Phoenix, the campus is a vital community resource featuring a Community Education Center, an Adult Day Club, a small Assisted Living Center and the Levine Home for hospice patients. An onsite Child Center operated by the YMCA promotes intergenerational enrichment and offers engaging activities for preschoolers.

With the support of our generous donors, dedicated volunteers and skilled staff, our mission is stronger than ever: Bringing comfort, dignity and compassionate care to our community.
