About Our Organization

 PACC911 IS SPECIAL

 WE'RE ONE OF A KIND!

We're different from anything out there. A comprehensive community aid model, our roots reach deep into Maricopa County and beyond to turn around the problem of homeless pets in need.

Over one hundred animal rescues and welfare organizations come together under our coalition umbrella and rely on our support.  PACC911 started way back in 1999 when Founder and President Bari Mears saw the need for animal rescuers to pull together in new ways to make a bigger difference.

WE LIFT THE STRAIN OFF THE COMMUNITY

Behind the scenes we're an integrated network run by a tiny infrastructure of devoted animal lovers who support the operation. There's  no big overhead; we don't even have a building, so your donations go straight to where you want them to go: helping abused, neglected and abandoned animals in need.

THIS IS WHAT WE DO

  • Provide our coalition partners with vital critical care grants from our Medical Relief Program to help them pay the overwhelming veterinary expenses that come with saving abused, neglected and abandoned pets in need.
  • Host large scale outdoor adoptathons, where potential adopters meet homeless pets in stress free environments so they can see their true personalities.
  • Operate the Chuck Waggin  Pet Food Pantry for low income and the elderly, to avoid their having to relinquish their beloved pets during times of hardship.
  • Operate Rescued Treasures Thrift Boutique to bring in funds  for our Medical Program's  critical care grants.
  • Educate the public about responsible pet stewardship to halt the endless cycle of homeless pets.
  • Conduct ongoing fundraising for our coalition partners, many who have no resources to do it on their own.

THAT'S NOT ALL!

We partner  with Aetna's Mercy Care  in our Mercy Paws program to provide safe interim foster pet care for qualifying long term care residents facing short term hospital stays. Through this innovative service we help them avoid having to surrender their cherished pets.

WE'RE LEAN, EFFICIENT AND BRING YOU BIG RESULTS.

When you support us you reach over 100 rescues in one stroke. While Covid raged we didn't stop; in 2020 our partners rehabilitated and placed over 12,000 abused, neglected and abandoned pets into loving homes.
